At the Izhevsk Electromechanical Plant "Dome" is in full swing development of a new production — a modular version of anti-aircraft missile complex "Thor." Work on the development started in the IV quarter of 2012.
This production is, in fact, is an upgrade of an existing product — anti-aircraft missile system "Tor-M2E". Its main difference is the absence of the chassis, i.e. the possibility of using this embodiment as a complex module with its installation in various types of gear, including the chassis of the customer, and on the other side of the complex may be placed stationary, without passengers.
The modularity of the product allows you to dramatically increase the interest in the arrangement of the positions of the complexes within the country and abroad, as well as increases the mobility of the product.
Work is conducted in accordance with the schedule, which, apart from purely industrial parts, contains a section of the test. To date, the embodiment of products made minimal tests, namely: work on alignment, flying around and sprinkler irrigation products. The main test will be conducted at the site.
By doing tremendous work to develop the new version of the anti-aircraft missile complex "Thor", the company expects to sign contracts with foreign customers as well as with representatives of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
