The Russian government has provided "Sukhoi Civil Aircraft" (SCAC) state guarantee for a loan of up to $ 1 billion. In the first nine months of last year, our aircraft maker posted a loss of nearly 2.5 billion rubles. This was due to the fact that most of the $ 1.5 billion spent on the creation of a new Russian airliner, GHS financed from its own funds and commercial loans, while the state's share was only about 20%. Moreover, the launch customer SSJ — «Aeroflot" — gained new aircraft with unprecedented discount, almost 35%, which sharply reduced the profitability of the project and increased the timing of his return. Now more than 170 credit GSS firm orders for the SSJ, but the operating profit of the company will be able to go no earlier than 2015-2016. Meanwhile, GSS has planned large-scale investments in the modernization of its production facilities, which will establish a high-volume aircraft production at a plant in Komsomolsk-on-Amur, and ultimately ensure that the public transport accessibility problems in remote regions of Siberia and the Far East as well as in the development of our country, local airlines. Only this year, the acquisition of new equipment and modernization of energy facilities of its plant in Komsomolsk-on-Amur firm Sukhoi send about 3 billion rubles. — At the beginning of this year on several aircraft SuperJet 100, which operates the "Aeroflot", noticed a series of small faults. Because of this, Federal Air Transport Agency for a few days even had to suspend the certificates of airworthiness of these machines. The reason?
— If we take in February, we have this month there have been three incidents is really a row. And all of them were related to the failure to clean the chassis. In fact, this situation is not an emergency, it is classified as a complication of flight conditions for the pilot and crew. However, this certainly should not be. We have thoroughly studied this problem and found that in two cases the reason was two specific defective ECU chassis, which are manufactured by Messier-Bugatti-Dowty. And another incident occurred because the faulty sensor position of the front landing gear. That is, this problem is not systemic, because the causes of defects are different, although they are all somehow connected to the chassis.
— What are you going to do to continue this does not happen?
— First of all, along with the developer, we thoroughly investigate the causes of defects. I must say that they do not extend to the entire series of control units chassis. These are two concrete block. We have already replaced them. Second, we have developed a package of measures that will avoid such situations. In particular, the company Messier-Bugatti-Dowty has introduced additional checks in the manufacture of their systems, and we have introduced additional checks on incoming inspection during assembly and manufacture of the aircraft.
— With the chassis all clear, and that with the slats?
— Perform additional tests on the stands to validate design decisions that have been taken in the service bulletin. Bulletin released. Fine-tuned four out of ten aircraft, all of them already in service. The rest will be finalized at our base in Zhukovsky on schedule, we have agreed with "Aeroflot".
— SSJ, located in the park of "Aeroflot", fly about four or five hours a day, while other airlines that operate regional aircraft, the rate is eight to nine hours. Which is why such a difference?
— There are two reasons. One of them — the technical readiness. We do not deny that the SSJ in the first stage of operation were indeed the so-called children's diseases. We had been ill with them, but it will take some time to heal completely. The second reason — flight planning, the development of the route network. This question relates to the company's policy to comment on it, I can not. But do not forget that now is the winter schedule, which means that the route network and flight frequency is less than in the summer. So expect some records in raids on SSJ's not worth it. But I am convinced that the situation will change in the summer, and the indicators will increase attacks. In general, the geography of routes "Aeroflot" on our plane is quite decent. The grid airline schedules for more than twenty cities, where flies SSJ. This and Western Europe, and the Urals, and almost all of South Russia.
I want to be clear: our plane was built in the broad international cooperation, many of its installed systems were developed for the first time, especially for the Sukhoi SuperJet 100, and passed the necessary certification. Obviously, the debugging system of the new aircraft can take some time. And we are not the only aircraft manufacturers who are faced with such difficulties, — witness the experience of world leaders. Also, let's not forget that the type design of the aircraft Sukhoi SuperJet 100 (model RRJ-95B) aircraft complies with the rules, as evidenced by a certificate of type Interstate Aviation Committee (MAK), which was issued in January 2011. This certificate is also possible to start commercial operation of aircraft. A year later, in February of 2012, the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) issued a type certificate for the aircraft Sukhoi SuperJet 100. This certificate confirms that the company "Sukhoi Civil Aircraft" has demonstrated compliance with the applicable requirements of EASA aircraft airworthiness and environmental impact. It is noteworthy that the SSJ 100 is the first Russian passenger airliner certified in accordance c aviation rules CS-25 EASA. In Mexico, Indonesia and Laos aviation authorities also validated the type certificate for the aircraft SSJ 100.
— "Aeroflot" often complains that part of the park SSJ permanently idle due to the fact that for a long time to wait for parts. How do you intend to solve this problem?
— We decided it practically. With the "Aeroflot" agreed on a list of spare parts warehouse HBS (Home Based Stock), which is located at Sheremetyevo. And we are now fully provide, together with colleagues from SuperJet International (SJI) this warehouse in accordance with the needs of "Aeroflot". If all of a sudden, for some reason, you need a part or assembly is not in stock, will be, we will provide it delivered within twenty four hours. Moreover, according to the service agreement with "Aeroflot" We have established the turnover parts that fail, repaired, and then come back. So the system we mainly tested them.
And what about maintenance SSJ to other airlines?
— We signed an agreement with the airline "Yakutia", in which we will carry out maintenance of our aircraft during the year. And then she would do it themselves. As for our overseas customers, here we are working together with SuperJet International. Our plane is quite broad geography of flights — from Mexico to Laos. If you look at the map, the diagonal is practically the whole world. So we just need to expand the base maintenance. Yes, actually, right now at all the points that operate our aircraft, we keep its field representatives to help solve technical problems, give advice, counsel, and more.
— Last year was planned that the GSS will be released on production of twenty planes a year, but you have released only fifteen. What prevented execute the plan?
— Problems with the supply of components. Our counterparts abroad very often could not enforce contracts on time.
— And this year, the production plan will be executed?
— We need to release this year of about thirty aircraft. And the backlog, which we now have, lets say, a task we can accomplish.
— Your company, like the rest of the Russian aircraft industry, is experiencing a huge shortage of staff. As far as I know, the only plant in Komsomolsk-on-Amur opened several hundred jobs in the specialty workers. How are you going to solve the personnel problem?
— I would not say that we have a huge shortage of staff. But the job really is. We have changed the mode of production, have introduced extra long shifts. In addition, the work goes on around the clock production. Naturally, we strictly adhere to the Labour Code and will pay compensation specialists.
The average salary of workers in the plant was estimated to be about thirty thousand. This is more than three times the cost of living in the Khabarovsk Territory. And it certainly will increase according to growth in output. Therefore, we hope that we will be able to attract good people and close most of the vacancies on the labor specialties.
— This year, your company needs to start replacing the first SSJ 100 aircraft set "Aeroflot" for aircraft in the so-called full-version. How are they different?
— This year we are going to change the seven planes and three more — next year. The first aircraft will be in full equipment delivered to the customer within one month, it will replace the park of "Aeroflot" is the first airliner, which was referred to the airline in 2011.
The remaining twenty aircraft previously ordered "Aeroflot" will also be available in a complete set full. The main difference is that on the new plane will have individual air flow system, extra toilet, weather radar with detection of wind shear, as well as an updated version of the avionics.
— What will you do with those liners that you will return "Aeroflot"?
— There are several Russian and foreign airlines, including state interested in purchasing SSJ 100 aircraft in the specification "light", which will be removed from the park of "Aeroflot". In the near future SCA plans to enter into contracts for the delivery of several new owners of these vehicles in the current year.
— The other day, my first prototype flew SSJ 100LR aircraft with extended range. How are the tests? What is the commercial potential of the machine on the market?
— The tests are successful. The aircraft confirms the declared characteristics. Its flight range will be four and a half thousand kilometers to three thousand of the plane in the basic version. That is, he calmly covers the distance from Moscow to Novosibirsk. The new version will be able to take on board more fuel, and the engine will SaM146 1S18 with increased five percent thrust at takeoff. This engine has been certified by EASA in January last year. The new engine uses the same hardware as the other engines of the SaM146, requiring no changes to the aircraft configuration.
I believe that the version of SSJ with extended range will be very marketable. We already have ten orders from airlines "Gazprom Avia". This year we will begin to deliver her these liners. Of great interest to them, and show some customers from Southeast Asia. So I think that this version is very good looking. But the basic configuration does not need to be discounted. Soon, regular commercial flights will perform Lao Lao Central Airlines and Indonesia's Sky Aviation. Moreover, both airlines have set a very ambitious goal — to provide daily on our plane completed not less than eight or nine hours. And, I think they will succeed.
