The UN Working Group demands the immediate release Statkievich

The daughter of former presidential candidate Nikolai Statkevich was sentenced to 6 years in prison for the events of December 19, received a letter from the UN Working Group on arbitrary detention of the evaluation findings and the requirements of the Belarusian authorities.

The Working Group requests the Belarusian authorities to apply the necessary measures to remedy the situation, which include the immediate release Statkevich and adequate compensation.
