Archaeologists managed to get inside the highest Mexican pyramid

Leading excavations at Teotihuacan archaeologists have reached the center of the highest Mexican pyramid. There they found evidence of unusual ceremonial sacrifices.

Scientists believe that the sacrifice ceremony was held before the moment that began to build the famous Pyramid of the Sun.

According to media reports, the sacrifices have been found at the base of the pyramid, one of them — a green serpentine mask. Some of the findings include ceremonial and 11 pots of clay. They are dedicated to the god Tlaloc rain. This god was worshiped by local people and after one and a half thousand years. Were also found eagle bone. Eagle fed rabbits. Not been identified so far bone canine and feline.
