China bought Russian helicopters and engines for $ 1.3 billion

The People's Liberation Army of China in the last few months acquired Russian military goods worth 1.3 billion dollars, the newspaper "Vedomosti". All equipment purchased will be delivered to China through the "Rosoboronexport". In the next few years, China has to get new multipurpose helicopters Mi-171E aircraft and engines for fighter Su-27/30.

According to the deputy director of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation Vyacheslav Dzirkaln, in July, China has concluded a contract with Russia to supply 55 multi-role helicopters, Mi-171E. The official value of the contract were not disclosed, however, according to the managers who are familiar with the deal she made more than $ 600 million. Deliveries helicopters completed in 2014.

In February of this year, China bought from Russia 140 of AL-31F engines for fighter Su-27/30. The amount of this transaction amounted to $ 700 million. China regularly buys various Russian aircraft engines for previously purchased from Russian combat aircraft, as well as copies of their own development, and fighters.

In 2011, Russia exported arms and military equipment to 13 billion dollars. 15 percent of this amount fell to supply China.
