Chinese and Korean researchers buy laser equipment startup NSU Tekhnoscan

Small innovative company at the Novosibirsk State University (NSU) "Tekhnoscan" will deliver laser products of its own design and manufacturing Korea Research Institute of Atomic Energy and the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

In the Korean Atomic Energy Research Institute (KAERI) sent a highly efficient external resonant frequency doubler for rigid-fiber single-frequency laser system with a wavelength of 544 nm. This system allows you to smoothly tunable high-power radiation of about 544 nm, and the doubler "transfer" this modification in the UV range near the wavelength 272 nm. Power continuous monochromatic UV radiation is several hundred mW, which allows its use for a wide range of research problems. Koreans intend to use the equipment for experiments in high-precision laser spectroscopy at a wavelength of 272 nm.

Devices purchased Physics Department Chinese University of Hong Kong, which, by the way, works a lot of Nobel laureates, including physics, to study quantum interactions of sodium atoms at ultra-low temperatures, and also study the problems of precision metrology using cold atoms. This system provides output power exceeding 1 W at a wavelength of 589 nm with a linewidth of less than 100 kHz. Run the system at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and staff training conducted by experts from Novosibirsk.
