Kyrgyzstan goes to the Customs Union

The Kyrgyz government on April 11 approved a decision to start accession to the Customs Union of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia and the Common Economic Space.

The meeting unanimously approved by the interdepartmental commission for the country's accession to the Customs Union. The Commission was established for the accession negotiations "taking into account sensitive to the domestic market of the country of headings and sectors of the economy", RIA-Novosti reported.

As was stated at the meeting, the integration processes with EurAsEC countries are a priority for Kyrgyzstan. In the total volume of foreign trade of the country of Kyrgyzstan Customs Union occupy 44.9%. The greatest weight in the turnover of Kyrgyzstan is Russia.

"Joining the Customs Union to a primarily Kyrgyzstan. Joining the organization will strengthen the external borders of the country and improve the living and working conditions of about half a million Kyrgyz citizens working in Russia and Kazakhstan. The government also intends to approve the draft letter of appeal to a higher authority Customs Union — Interstate Council of the Eurasian Economic Community.
