Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, June 26 — RIA Novosti. Earthquake of magnitude 4.4 occurred in the Pacific Ocean off the east coast of Kamchatka, told RIA Novosti the Geophysical Service of Russian Academy of Sciences.
The epicenter was registered on Sunday night, was located 200 kilometers east of the southern tip of the Kamchatka Peninsula — Cape Lopatka at a depth of 33 kilometers under the seabed.
In urban areas of the Kamchatka Territory, including in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, far from the epicenter of a seismic event for more than 250 kilometers to the north-west, major earthquakes are not felt. Victims or damage. The threat of a tsunami has not been announced.
