New corvette 20380 "Courageous", built of "Severnaya Verf" for the Baltic Fleet, has completed the first phase of the factory running tests in marine landfills fleet in the Baltic Sea, said Thursday the head of the press service of the Baltic Fleet Captain 2nd Rank Vladimir Matveyev.


"During the testing phase of the ship's crew under the command of Captain 2nd Rank Sergey Lipsky, together with representatives of industry performance verification systems and a ship at sea. In particular, it was a test of the power plant, the steering system, auxiliary machinery, communications and navigation, anchoring devices, and held fast, maneuverable and vibration test ship ", — said V. Matveev.

According to him, as soon as the ship is planned installation of a 100-mm artillery gun, after which the ship will make a transition to Baltiysk to start the second phase of testing. They are expected to be completed in December this year, after which the government will begin testing.

Patrol ship "Courageous" was laid at the boathouse of "Severnaya Verf" in July 2005. The launching took place on 15 April 2011. The lead ship of the series is the corvette "Guarding" passed the Baltic Fleet in 2007 corvette of the second project — "Savvy" — was transferred to BF 14 October 2011.
