The new complex is designed to conduct training for children. There are eight locker rooms, bleachers for 500 people, two gyms. The uniqueness of the rink that special equipment allows you to toggle the state of the ice for skating, for competition and for public skating.
Construction began in 2007 under the federal target program "Development of physical culture and sports in Russia for 2006-2015", the funding was divided between the federation and the republic. The total project cost was $ 480 million.
The project provides for adaptation of the rink to practice with disabilities. Equipped with two changing rooms for athletes with lesions of the musculoskeletal system, made arrangements for the program "Accessible Environment". The sides of the ice field are adapted to the needs of sledge hockey.
The complex is located in the heart of the city, near the main city of the ice arena — ice palace "Izhstal" which previously had to share the plurality of sections, public skating sessions and home games HC "Izhstal".
