The Swiss representative Veyzonnaze Russian team won the first-ever victory at the World Cup Snowboard discipline "snowboard cross." The author of the historic sporting feat was the Krasnoyarsk rider Andrew Boldykov.
In the 1/8 finals Boldykov, qualified to the finals with a ninth result, finished second in their top six, which gave him the right among the three best-in participants to continue the fight in the quarterfinals.
In the future, beginning with the quarterfinal heats, Andrew has consistently finished first. Boldykov managed to win almost all of its major competitors, the strongest in the world masters snowboard cross. Among the losers of the next stage of which: Australian world champion Alex Pullin, owner of "Crystal Globe" in the board, MDF, Frenchman Pierre Woltjer, great Americans Nate Holland and Jonathan Chivers, etc. After this victory Boldykov came in second place in the overall World Cup among the masters of snowboard cross.
