Kryukov Wagon Works has agreed to upgrade the Kiev subway cars

Kryukov Railcar (Kremenchug, Poltava region) has agreed with the Department of Transport and Communications of the Kyiv City State Administration to modernize the utility wagon "Kiev underground" in the amount of 1.076 billion hryvnia 2014. This is stated in the message of the Main Department of Transportation and Communications of the KSCA.

Krukiv won a tender for a comprehensive modernization of cars such as "E" and their modifications with the introduction of asynchronous traction drive (95 subway cars). The agreement signed on July 16.

Recall that Krukiv jointly with Mitsubishi and Itochu (both — Japan) plans to modernize 200 metro cars for the enterprise "Kyiv Metro" to the end of 2013.

In March Kryukov Wagon Works completed certification subway trains with asynchronous drive.
