More than 30 people were killed in rains in northern Pakistan

 At least 33 people were killed and about 40 injured in northern Pakistan as a result of flooding caused by the three-day rainfall, said on Wednesday the Internet portal of the local edition of News International.

In some mountainous areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, bordering Afghanistan, experienced heavy snowfall. Many roads are blocked due to broken wires disrupted power supplies.

Forecasters warn that rainfall in the north of the country will continue for another day.

The neighboring Afghan province of Badakhshan because of heavy snowfall, which has lasted for almost a week, hundreds of settlements and dozens of counties were in the snowdrift. Twenty people were injured on Wednesday night when avalanches that destroyed nearly two dozen homes.
