Moscow, November 22, 2011 — The new integrated flight simulator (Full Flight Simulator, FFS) of Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ100) ready to conduct training of Russian pilots.
The simulator FFS, manufactured by French company Thales, is a high-tech teaching device that copies the actual cabin crew SSJ100. It is set in the center of learning in Zhukovsky, which is responsible for the work of the company SuperJet International, a joint venture of Alenia Aeronautica, a member of the concern Finmeccanica, and Company "Sukhoi".
After a series of functional tests according to international standards FFS simulator was approved by Russian aviation. The simulator SSJ100 initially certified "Level C" in accordance with international regulations for exercise equipment (JAR FSTD).
Currently simulator is ready for a first-class education. In late November, the simulator will start the first regular session on the rate of re-training of pilots Aeroflot.
Retraining program consists of three phases. The first stage — the theoretical ground training with the use of computer-based training systems and procedural CBT simulator Tier FPTD, which mimics the interface of the cockpit, to explore all the aircraft systems.
The second phase includes 32 hours of practical training on management skills and interaction of aircraft crew members at the rate of MCC (Multi Crew Cooperation) using a fixed flight simulator FTD.
The third stage consists of sessions on modern synthetic flight trainer FFS total of 48 flight hours.
FFS SSJ100 aircraft belongs to the latest generation of simulators «Reality 7" and has a system of electro-mobility, advanced visualization system with LCOS-projectors and an instructor workstation with improved ergonomics.
Innovative imaging system provides a display of the external environment that is visible to pilots at different stages of the flight mission. The pilot, who is in the FFS, gets the same feelings and responses to control actions, as if he was in the cockpit of an aircraft performing flight.
It is made with the latest technology device will allow Russian pilots to improve skills and to obtain a license (Type Rating) without training on the real aircraft.
Later FFS will be upgraded to "Level D», which is the maximum possible for the certification of flight simulators on the rules of JAR FSTD. This will in the future conduct training programs ZFTT, which does not require training on a real airplane. Courses will be instructors of SuperJet International, responsible for the training of personnel to SSJ100 aircraft worldwide.
In 2012, Thales Training &Simulation plans to put two more complex simulator aircraft SSJ100. One will be installed in the center of aviation training "Aeroflot", which is located at Sheremetyevo Airport, and the other — in the center of SJI training in Venice, where in 2012 the airline will begin crew training Interjet.
"Education is one of the main activities of SuperJet International, — said General Director Carlo Loli (Carlo Logli). — Since its inception SJI strategy should provide customers with a full range of world-class services, including technical support and training. This is what makes our highly qualified international aviation personnel. "
"Timely and high-quality training of pilots for the airlines is one of the important areas of the program Sukhoi Superjet 100, and was commissioned FFS simulator will certainly help us to more effectively work in this direction," — said the president of the company "Sukhoi Civil Aircraft" Vladimir Prysiazhnyuk.
SuperJet International is responsible for the sale of Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft in the western markets. In addition, the responsibility of the company includes staff training and after-sales support worldwide. We SuperJet International has training centers in Venice and Moscow.
