According to the press service of the Western Military Area in the 2012 academic year, the pilots completed more than 250 shipboard landings of helicopters Ka-27 on the deck of the ships of the fleet. The crews of the squadron performed more 1.5 thousand operations, 40% of them — in sets time. Total flying time pilots of the aircraft was above 1.8 million hours, and the average flight hours per pilot — more 80 hours. As part of combat training helicopter pilots conducted over 60 sessions on search and detection of submarines imaginary enemy day and night time, the search for and rescue people at sea, lifting them on board from the water surface.
At the airport in the village of Don Kaliningrad region where the currently deployed separate naval anti-submarine helicopter squadron of naval aviation of the Baltic Fleet were the next training flights. Units are in service with the Ka-27 ASW (Ka-27PL) and search and rescue variant (Ka-27PS). In the process of training flights crews worked ASW exercises profile (search conventional submarine enemy using the vehicle's sonar system), and search-and-rescue tasks (lifting from the surface of the affected conditional).
