More than 800 thousand euros in the final will bring together the financial year, the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) from its donors private parties in Russia, which is almost 10% more than the previous year, said the head of the "Supporters of WWF Russia" Victoria Sinitsyna.
"In this fiscal year, which lasted from July 2011 to July 2012, we had a task to collect 800,000 euros from private individuals. I think that we collect more, about 830-840 euros. For comparison — in the previous fiscal year was collected 750,000 euros. Today we help in a systematic way about 15.5 thousand people, who spend from one thousand to five million rubles, "- said Sinitsyna RIA Novosti.
However, she explained that a quarter of the funds coming from private individuals, making leading philanthropists, members WWF "Gold Panda", which consists of 70 people.
"Around the world, WWF collects most of the money from individuals, about 60%. Example, one in five people in the Netherlands helps nature Pandu (symbol WWF). But we do things differently — from the funds collected in Russia (it is about one-fifth of the annual organization's budget), 11% give the company, and 9% — individuals "- added Sinitsyna.
At present, according to the WWF report for 2011, the largest sources of financing for the fund in Russia became WWF offices in other countries, notably the Netherlands, Sweden and Germany, and the German Ministry for the Environment. However, the share of Russian contributors (and the individuals and companies) is growing from year to year, and in 2011 once again set a record — proceeds of which $ 1.8 million or about 20% of the total.
As earlier told RIA Novosti director of WWF-Russia Fundraising and Marketing Catherine Babin, the fund intends in the next ten years to increase the proportion of funds collected in Russia from 20 to 50%.
"Very believe that in 2017 at WWF Russia bude over 50,000 supporters, and by 2022, regular financial support to the projects the fund will provide 118,000 Russians. Accordingly, in 2017 we plan to collect 3.3 million euros, and by 2022 — about 7000000 "- predicts Sinitsyna.
Tool for donations
According to the source agency, the fund intends to achieve growth in donations through the use of new financial instruments.
"All over the world except Russia there is a financial instrument on a monthly write-off money from the accounts and cards, called" direct debit ". WWF Volunteers will approach people on the street with a tablet, ask them to sign up through the site on a regular donation to the nature, and from the account will be charged a certain amount on a regular basis, "- said Sinitsyna.
In this case, the fund already offers the opportunity to make a poster wwf.ru monthly debit from bank cards, but the fall is going to "go to the people," said a spokeswoman WWF.
"Monthly automatic payments — is very important. In this case, one should not think about it and remember every month. We talk about what has been done where the money goes, we invite our supporters to interesting events. At the same time when people pay once a year, they tend to forget that you need to renew your membership in the WWF. So now we have a hundred people come and go but fifty. Following promotion of electronic payments, we expect that the number will be much lower than the departed "- concluded Sinitsyna.
