A series of earthquakes occurred July 7, 2011 in the Kermadec Islands in the Pacific, according to the U.S. Geological Survey, they followed the impulse magnitude of 7.6, recorded on July 6. In total, to date, the region has recorded 23 earthquakes, except the first, most powerful tremor. The magnitude of the strongest of them were 6, 5.6 and 5.5, the weakest — 4.7 and 4.8.

The last earthquake in the region proizshlo at 7:40 MSK. Its magnitude was 5.3. The epicenter is located 96 km from the island of Raoul.
