"… He that believeth in me, though he were dead, — come to life" (John 11:25)
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ!
Each year, celebrating the major Christian holidays, do not cease to surprise mystery of Christ's resurrection, as this event is proof of eternal life, which gives us the power to overcome evil in themselves, seek to reach spiritual heights and union with God.
In This year, Belarusians are greeted Easter, like Christmas time past, with sadness in my heart, as in the period of the Great and the Nativity Fast in Belarus bloodshed. In both cases, the victims have suffered for his people, because of their location could be each. Especially we grieve for the victims, but not because they do not believe in eternal life, but because it hurts us to leave for the love of it — our compatriots.
Christ's resurrection proves that He is God and His doctrine is true, and He is the Lord of heaven, is not wrong. A wrong and evil people can carry the lords of the earth, which is not using God Testament, create a "Chernobyl" and "Kurapaty" and who sometimes do not want the people to have the spiritual power which, integrating it gives him the confidence to fight for truth and understanding that only their own national statehood could protect him as an ethnic group, and that the Church would not be wrong to pray for him.
But in the light of Christ's victory of life over death, we can see that good is stronger than evil.
Therefore, in our prayers we ask the Lord to the way in which The people of Belarus carries his cross for the sake of his claim to eternity, was less painful. And happily congratulate each other:
Christ is Risen! Belarus will rise!
With love and prayers,
The ruling bishop of the Belarusian Autocephalous Orthodox Church
