In Japan, a series of strong earthquakes

Five earthquakes with a magnitude of 5.5 to 6.3 occurred in the northeast of the main Japanese island of Honshu from the beginning of the current day. Information on casualties or damage were reported. In all cases, the national meteorological office did not announce warnings about the threat of a tsunami.
The epicenter of the strongest quake was a magnitude 6.3 off the coast of Iwate Prefecture, its center lies at a depth of about 20 kilometers, according to ITAR-TASS.
Noticeable tremors were felt last night and in the neighboring prefectures of Miyagi, Fukushima, where the nuclear power plant emergency, "Fukushima-1", as well as in 12 other regions of the country, including Tokyo.
Prefecture of Iwate, Miyagi and Fukushima, which are part of the Tohoku region most severely affected by the March 11 struck the north-east of Honshu magnitude 9 earthquake and ensuing tsunami powerful. After the March disaster in the region are conducted extensive restoration work.
