Kursk rescue workers received new equipment

The solemn ceremony of fire and rescue equipment units of the State Fire Service of the Kursk region and voluntary fire-rescue squad SWSU held on October 5, at the Red Square of Kursk.

In June 2010, following the signing of an agreement between the Head Office of Emergency of Russia Kursk region and the leadership SWSU established group of volunteers. It was composed of students of 1-3 courses of the specialty "Safety in Technosphere". Then, at the end of last year, it was decided to create an independent student fire-rescue squad, "Southwest", equipped with rescue and fire-fighting equipment and rescue vehicles.

The Rector SWSU Sergey Emelyanov reported that 12 students are certified and have evidence of rescuers, 27 people are certified and 20 freshmen have expressed a desire to become lifeguards. "I express my deep gratitude for the gift, we will not fail," — said the rector of the university.

With this squad is currently in clock duty to respond with a fixed area. In the event of a disaster volunteers will be able to carry out rescue work in the affected areas, evacuation of people from dangerous areas, to participate in extinguishing fires, provide first aid, etc.

Machinery purchased by the regional target program "Fire Safety for 2010-2014 gg", the press service of the Main Directorate of MOE in the Kursk region. The total value of the machinery is more than 42 million rubles. Cars will go to the fire brigade Belovskii, Oboyan, Zheleznogorsk, Kursk, Kastorensky, Zolotukhinsky, Cheremisinovsky regions and IF number 20 in the city of Kursk. All vehicles equipped with modern facilities. So, on a tanker that will be passed to the city IF number 20, set the high pressure pump that will put out fires in high-rise buildings. 

Two cars — based on the speed of Highly «Hyundai» will ensure faster arrival of the fire. The remaining vehicles — are proven job and the time of "Ural" with high maneuverability, which is very important for rural areas
