MOSCOW, July 12 — RIA Novosti. Earthquake of magnitude 6.2 occurred on Tuesday off the coast of the Philippines, the site of the U.S. Geological Survey.
The epicenter of aftershocks occurred in 04.47 local time (00.47 MSK), located at 139 km south-west from the city of Iloilo on the island of Panay.
The hearth was located at a depth of 19 kilometers.
No casualties or damage, as well as the threat of a tsunami is not reported.
Indonesia and the Philippines are part of the so-called "Pacific Ring of Fire": plate, forming the bottom of the Indian and western Pacific oceans, come here under the Asian plate. As a result of crustal movements in the world's two largest archipelagos frequent earthquakes and volcanic eruptions.
