Mariupol sea trading port (MITI, Donetsk region). Bought a new dredge "Meotida." As the press service of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine, dredge came from the stocks at the shipyard of Galati, May 11, 2012. The ship was built by the order and for the means of Mariupol Port Dutch company Damen Shipyards Group.
From 1 to August 10, the ship conducted sea trials before its transition from Romania to its home port of Mariupol.
"The need for the acquisition of port dredging was due to high costs incurred by the company to maintain the declared depths of its waters and approach channels," — the report says.
MCS is one of the largest ports of Ukraine. Average depth of the port is 12 meters and can handle ships with a draft of up to 8 m and a length up to 240 m
