6.3 magnitude earthquake occurred in north-west China

Earthquake of magnitude 6.3 occurred on Saturday in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region in northwest China, reported at the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).

According to the Associated Press, the magnitude of the earthquake was 6.5.

Earthquakes have been recorded at 05.07 local time (01.07 MSK). The earthquake lies at a depth of 9.8 kilometers. The epicenter was located at a distance of 151 kilometers to the north-west of Shihezi.

Information on the possible destruction and casualties were reported.
