For several years, German researchers examined the impact of mobile phones on human beings and animals. Studies were carried out to order and direct EU funding.
Earlier research conducted showed unsubstantiated version of the harmful effects of mobile phones on human health. Then the scientists agreed that the need to conduct additional studies to determine whether these findings are true, in non-laboratory environments.
After placing the cells in the electromagnetic fields that are typical for mobile phones, increasing the number of DNA breaks, which are not always restored by the cell, causing mutation and could serve as a possible cause of cancer.
"We do not want to cause a panic, but it is better to take precautions," — said the project coordinator Franz Aldkofer. He also added that more research will take 4-5 years.
