Earthquake of magnitude 4.6 occurred in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Earthquake of magnitude 4.6 occurred on Saturday night in the central part of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the victims and no serious damage, according to the civil defense.

The epicenter of the earthquake, which occurred in 12.1 (12.03 MSK), located in the town of Zenica. Strong tremors were felt in various parts of the Balkan countries, including in the capital, Sarajevo and Banja Luka, Bihac, Gorazde. It is also reported that the quake was felt in neighboring countries — Croatia and Serbia.

According to Bosnian media reports, the earthquake caused panic in Zenica. Many residents fled their homes for a long time remained in the street.

Data on injuries were reported. Meanwhile, many homes in Zenica fixed cracks and collapsed facades.

Adviser at the Center of Seismology of the Federal Hydrometeorological Institute said Rusmir Gorushanin Internet portal Klix.ba, it was one of the strongest earthquakes in BiH over the past 40 years.
