Multi-purpose electromagnetic scanner Nemfis and the program Nemfis1D

Multi-purpose electromagnetic scanner "Nemfis" was developed in the laboratory of the electromagnetic fields of the Institute of Geophysics of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS).
Development was presented by JSC "Ecology" at the 9th International Exhibition GeoForm +, held in Moscow in March 2010.
The instrument can be used for a wide range of geophysical problems on the depth of the first ten meters.
Comparisons with the most popular Western instruments showed that the method of electromagnetic scanning "Nemfis" order of magnitude faster than the method of resistance (electromagnetics) is much more informative than the electromagnetic mapping at a single frequency, and much more resistant to interference than existing multi-frequency electromagnetic devices. The incision was built according to the "Nemfis" is interpreted much easier than the GPR data.

To date, the scanner frequency sounding "Nemfis" is one of the most popular methods for rapid investigation of the near-surface crust.

The method of frequency electromagnetic sounding (CHEMZ) implemented in hardware Nemfis scanner, designed to study the spatial distribution of the resistivity of the facilities located at a depth of up to 10m. Nemfis scanner allows you to search metals, plastics, voids, ceramic products, to carry out the analysis of geological strata, the availability of ground water flooding, etc.

Equipment "Nemfis" implements a frequency electromagnetic induction sensing and is trehkatushechny probe.
Search complex consists of the probe enclosed in a solid fiberglass hull, a laptop computer with special software ISystem. The total length of the probe into the working order of 2.75 m, in the transport position 1.4 m Weight 8 lbs. The probe is moved at arm's length or in a special plastic trolley, so thanks to its size — the scanner can be used almost anywhere. Battery lasts for a long period — up to 10 hours of continuous operation. Working with data involves its transfer from your PDA to your computer, processing and visualization in the form of maps and / or cuts, so the operator is able to get a two-dimensional, three-dimensional distribution of kvazitrehmernoe and underground electrical conductivity inhomogeneities.

The program Nemfis1D

The program allows you to obtain the distribution of electrical resistivity and dielectric constant of the depth of the profile or area.
User-friendly interface and extensive reporting capabilities allow the best to solve the geological task. In developing the program focuses on the convenience and ease of use, a variety of visualization tools and integration of a priori information.
Depending on the interpreter's views on the nature of the geoelectric section, the program provides the user with a wide range of algorithms for the analysis and interpretation of data quality solutions. Easy management system allows the user to choose from a set of equivalent solutions that would best both geophysical and geological with perspective.
