New body armor was a separate regiment of marines of the Northern Fleet. The first body armor will equip units that make up the crews of surface ships during long hikes and patrols in the Gulf of Aden and the Horn of Africa. According to the agency, inflatable vests are now on sale online and in stores. The cost of such a vest is about nine thousand.

The order of acceptance into service of inflatable vests signed in 2010, Russian Navy Commander Vladimir Vysotsky. It was planned that this new equipment will go to the Navy in 2011.
