A series of new earthquakes with a magnitude 5,0-6,8 occurred in Japan

A series of more than 30 earthquakes with a magnitude of groundwater from 5.0 to 6.8 occurred on Saturday near the eastern coast of Japan, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

Groundwater level were recorded in the region of the island of Honshu — the largest island of the Japanese archipelago, where on Friday was one of the strongest in the history of Japan's 8.9 magnitude earthquake.

At least 703 people died in the earthquake and subsequent tsunami on Friday, according to AFP, referring to the police. However, the local media reported that the final number of victims of elements can make 1,2 thousand people, as hundreds of people were missing.
