Belarus repaid the government loan, which was taken in Azerbaijan for 12 days for payments to "Gazprom".
Scheduled repayment term was advancing on July 5, but the decision was made to fully pay for this loan today, said the agency "Interfax-West".
The Belarusian Alexander Lukashenko said earlier that to pay off the debt to "Gazprom" for gas delivered in January-April this year, State loan was taken in Azerbaijan for 200 million dollars. Of this amount, was made payment to "Gazprom" in the amount of 187 million dollars.
Involvement of public credit from Azerbaijan was confirmed by the decision of the Belarusian government on June 22. Press Service Lukashenko that day reported that the President had a telephone conversation with President of Azerbaijan Belarus Ilham Aliyev.
In addition, 25 June, the Government issued a decree number 969, which came into force retroactively — June 23, the day of the transfer payment "Gazprom". According to the document, in 2010, "Beltransgaz" has received a loan in the amount of budgetary 186,617,000 dollars "to pay off the debt for delivered" Gazprom "natural gas on its return no later than 30 June 2010."
