Earthquake of magnitude 5.1 occurred on Monday at the north-eastern coast of the Japanese island of Honshu.
According to the Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the epicenter of the earthquake was located in the Pacific Ocean very close to the Japanese coast, where the city of Hachinohe, Aomori and Marioka. Tectonic upheavals registered at a depth of 33 km.
During the night, off the northeast coast of Honshu noted several aftershocks with magnitudes less than 5.0. Information on the effects of earthquakes have been reported yet, according to ITAR-TASS.
