Last Saturday, in the Murmansk polytechnic high school was a curious event — a real "Battle of robots." About a similar event in St. Petersburg wrote Habré, but the broadcast is over, so I decided to post photos from the same event.

This time, the rules were not provided real battle, that is, fighting robots. This tournament was more athletic, especially since he was a qualifier for the international competitions.

Briefly about the robots themselves. Robots are made of children's designer Lego Mindstorms, but that's not what the toy Lego, which many people know from childhood. This series is a really powerful tool for creativity and serious study. Constructor is a building material, and will come with a set of sensors, motors, gears, shafts, pulleys, battery and control unit. Everything fits into a tremendous box.

The first attempt took place with varying degrees of success — all the pins are pushed only one robot. Overall, the event was a very rich and interesting. Very positive and fun and enjoyable that children enthusiastically engaged in such a good thing. And doubly pleased that it is not only in the capital but also the provincial Murmansk.
