On the border of Russia and Ukraine memorial cross was dedicated in memory of 1025th anniversary of the Baptism of Rus’

Celebrations dedicated to the 1025th anniversary of the Baptism of Russia, opened on Thursday with the consecration of worship cross the checkpoint of the Russian-Ukrainian border in the Belgorod region, according to RIA Novosti.

According to the Russian Ambassador to Ukraine Mikhail Zurabov, who also came to the opening, the joint celebration of the 1025th anniversary of the Baptism of Russia — is not only a great event in the life of the Orthodox peoples of Russia, Belarus and Ukraine, but the "responsible and serious event in the life of nations." He noted that with the installation of the Cross begins a series of celebrations that will take place, including at the highest international level.

Cross to the Russian-Ukrainian border manufactured by order of the Federal Customs Service. At the base of cast iron cross mounted bas-relief of St. Prince Vladimir, Russia.

Memorial cross set social movement "Worship cross Holy Russia", this is the fifth such memorial sign. The first such cross representatives of the movement established in Vladikavkaz in 2012.
