Two earthquakes of magnitude 6.5 occurred near the KamchatkaTwo earthquakes of magnitude 6.6 and 6.5 occurred on the east coast of Kamchatka, told RIA Novosti the Kamchatka branch of the Geophysical Service RAS.
The first impulse, the magnitude of which was 6.6, recorded on Monday night, 45 km south-east of Shiveluch volcano at a depth of 104.5 kilometers. The epicenter of the second earthquake was located in the Gulf of Kamchatka at a depth of 55.9 kilometers.
Powerful tremors felt residents district center of Ust-Kamchatsky, remote from each one of the epicenters of not more than 50 kilometers. Propulsion specified.
"Despite the force of the earthquake, housing and social facilities district prevailed. No destruction, no people have been hurt," — told RIA Novosti the administration of Ust-Kamchatka region.
