U.S. annulled results of the Green Card Lottery

The U.S. State Department has canceled the current Green Card lottery results because the selection of the winners was not accidental, as required by U.S. law.

As a result of a system failure in 90% of cases,'s winners are those who have applied for the first two days of the 30-day registration period.

The winners were annulled selection 22 thousands of people. It is expected that the results of the lottery will be re-released in mid-July.

The State Department has apologized to those who had been erroneously informed about winning a green card.

Green Card Lottery is played annually since 1994after, the U.S. Congress has introduced this system. Applicants wishing to obtain a visa, are randomly selected computer.
