At Niva HPP-3 Cascade of Niva HPP JSC "TGC-1" completed repairs of hydraulic number 1. The work took place from November 2012 to February 2013.
During the repairs made partial replacement of the stator winding maintenance and replacement of pipelines water supply.
Commissioning equipment has been tested and put into operation. Completion of repairs will increase the reliability of the plant.
Niva HPP-3 is the lower stage of the cascade of Niva HPP, located 5 km from the lips Kandalaksha White Sea.
The installed capacity of Niva HPP-3 — 155.5 MW. Crednemnogoletnyaya power generation, 878 million kWh.
Cascade of Niva HPP = one of the main sources of energy on the Kola Peninsula. According to the established Power (569.5 MW), second only to the Kola nuclear power plant. Stations of the cascade produce more than a third of all electricity used in the Murmansk region.
