Belarus is in talks with Libya on oil supplies

The head of the Libyan National Oil Corporation (National Oil Corporation, NOC) Shokri Ganem held talks with the Belarusian ambassador to Libya, Anatoly Stsepusem, during which the possibility of delivery of crude oil to Belarus.

NOC commissioned a marketing services company "to discuss the current needs Belarus' in oil, based on the capabilities of supply and international prices, "Interfax reported.

Belarus of April 2010 imports oil from Venezuela. After this year is expected to start oil supplies from Iran.

Libya is also one of the world's major producers of liquefied natural gas (LNG). Belarus is considering building an LNG terminal in the port of Klyaypedy (Lithuania).
