Tenth earthquake in Kazakhstan, which took place last night

The first 5.5-magnitude quake was recorded at 08.31 (06.31 MSK) on May 1. The epicenter was located 76 kilometers north-east of Almaty. Was later recorded a series of eight earthquakes with a magnitude of 4 to 4.8. The epicenter of earthquake was located in the same area.
Unprecedented for the duration series of aftershocks, coupled with the complete absence of any information from the authorities, has led to a panic among residents. Many families come with things and documents on the streets and were afraid to return to their homes. On Monday night, Prime Minister Karim Massimov has left on his page on Twitter reported that the Minister for Emergency Situations Vladimir Bozhko and Akim of Almaty Akhmetzhan Yesimov reported to him about the situation in the city, but did not give any details.
At about the same time appeared the first comments of experts. Director of the Institute of Seismology Tanatkan Abakanov in an interview denied that his agency predicts a major earthquake in the next few hours and urged residents not to panic.
"As the head of the Seismological Institute want to warn you that there is no reason to leave the building and listen to the panic-mongers. Anyway, at this period, the situation is under control" — said Abakan.
According to him, the tremors that followed the first earthquake, aftershocks are still and will continue for some time.
