The film tells the story of human chakra system. According to Indian tradition, their 7. Detailed account of the purpose of each of the chakras in English is provided with Russian subtitles.
Next — an interesting article about Voice effects on the chakras (Taken from here).
Technique to restore the balance in the system of chakras by voice has been described by three thousand years ago in Ayurveda — the Vedic system of healing. In most cases, the impact on the chakras comes to singing mantras, but may also include some harmonically related sounds (on the correspondence system of vowels and chakras you can read more details in the next chapter). Among others on the system of harmonically related tones based methodology and Randall McClellan.
Randall McClellan, author of "The Healing Power of Music» (Randall McClellan. The Healing Forces of Music), developed a method of influence on the chakras with the human voice. The gist of it is this: a man who wants to restore harmony in our own system of chakras, sings a series of sounds, harmoniously linked. This vocal technique is slightly different from the overtone singing, but it is based on the same principle — the principle of the harmonic series.
"The use of the technique based on the principle of the harmonic series, requires vocal range, at least two octaves … — says Dr. McLellan. — If the lower tone of the range accepted as the second harmonic, the main tone is one octave below it, that is the basic tone is beyond the range of human voice. "
In the system of Dr. McLellan lowest chakra resonates with the tone one octave above the fundamental. For example, in C major is a note to. With the second chakra resonates tone a fifth above the previous (in our example — salt), with the navel chakra — the tone, the main component in a two-octave range (back to) with the heart chakra — the tone above the previous one major third (E) with throat chakra — the tone for a fifth higher than the previous (salt) with the third eye chakra — the tone above the previous low at Septim (B-flat), and, finally, the crown chakra — to note, standing away from the pitch by three octaves. Thus, the seven energy centers of the human body come into resonance notes corresponding to the first seven overtones.
"By building a series of tones designed to work on the chakras, — says Dr. McLellan — we were founded upon the principle of the harmonic series, that is, the system of relations between the 2 nd, 3 rd, 4 th, 5 th, 6 th, 7 th and 8 th harmonics. The result revealed that the natural relationship between the base of the spine, solar plexus and is reflected in the structure of the crown of the harmonic series, where the 2nd, 4th and 8th overtones separated by octaves (remember that the frequency ratio is in the range of one octave — 2:1). The relationship between the second and sixth chakras expressed ratio 3rd and 6th harmonics, which are also separated by an octave. Heart chakra corresponds to the fifth harmonic, which carries the stabilizing force major third. Third eye corresponds to the 7th overtone. "
By the time I met with the Dr. McClellan, I myself have had some experience in the field of resonance effects on the energy centers, and in overtone singing. Using as the main tone frequency, resonating with my physical body, I found that the first harmonic resonates with my lower chakra, the second — the second chakra, the third — from the navel chakra, the fourth — with heart, the fifth — with the throat, the sixth — with third eye, and the "crown" resonating tone, three-octave major superior. Having mastered the technique of creating vocal harmonics, you can try this exercise for yourself and check if the system is to your body.
Kay Gardner, a musician and composer, author of "The Sound study of internal organs» (Kay Gardner. Sounding the inner landscape), has also developed a special system of correspondence between the chakras and harmonic tones intertwined. Referring to Peter Michael Hamel (author of "Through the music for the inner self"), Kay argues that stew Saraswati (in the key of C major) make notes C, D, E, F sharp, G, A, and B-flat. These notes correspond to the overtones within the first four octaves of the harmonic series. Key note relates to the lower chakra, D — from the second chakra, MI — from the navel chakra, F sharp — with the heart chakra, salt — a throaty, la — the third eye, and B flat — with the "crown."
For the resonance effect on the chakras Kay applies basic tones, not harmonic. I have, however, included a description of its procedures in this chapter, as well as the basis of the principle of the harmonic series.
Another way to therapeutic use of harmonics — resonance effect on the brain. I often hear from people who have obertonal-tion singing that at the time the vocal harmonics they feel the vibration in my head, and sometimes closed his eyes, see the light. Some even argue that a clear sense of how different harmonics resonated in different areas of the brain. Such feelings in overtone singing and I'm worried. Ability to use the vocal harmonics to stimulate certain parts of the brain has long interested me. I learned about it in 1984 from the recorded lectures Pir Vilayat Khan, dedicated to doctoring with sound.
"One day — said Pir Vilayat, — I have been a guest of the German composer Stockhausen. During dinner, he showed me his amazing art overtone singing. He managed to sing twenty-eight overtones, clear as a bell. Mr. Stockhausen explained that performing overtone, it focuses on a specific point in the sky above the top of the brain, and the higher harmonic, the higher is the corresponding point.
It occurred to me that with the help of vocal harmonics can create resonance in different areas of the brain — for example, in the pituitary gland. Resonance immediately activates his job, and the pituitary gland begins to secrete hormones. However, this process must be strictly controlled: for desultory pituitary stimulation can cause irreparable damage to the body. It is extremely important to know what hormones to develop lead resonance effect. Would it be the growth hormones? Or hormones? Or some other? Thus, the reality is much more complicated than it sounds. However, my goal was just to offer you the direction of scientific research, which, hopefully, in the next decade will bring decent results. "
Karlheinz Stockhausen — German avant-garde composer, mystic and clairvoyant. He was the first piece of music specially composed for singers overtones. This composition Stockhausen gave the name «Stimmung», which translated from German means "tuning." His contribution to the development of harmonious music overestimated. Among his students were the masters of Stockhausen overtone singing, the English-Tse-litelnitsa zvukoterapevt Jill Pearce and Swiss musician and composer Michael Vetter.
In an accompanying article, the album «Stimmung» 1969 Stockhausen wrote:
"Composition Stimmung — nothing more than a single chord, sounding for seventy-five minutes and during that time did not change either by a semitone. Accord are alone vocal harmonics — the second, third, fourth, fifth, seventh, ninth. Pitch is not among them … Singers took six months to learn exactly she sings overtones — the ninth, tenth or eleventh, thirteenth — until the twenty-fourth overtone singing … The process is associated with a remarkable sense: you clearly feel like overtones generate vibrations in different parts of your skull . If you have met with the singers after six months after the World Expo in Osaka, when they first came up with this song, you would have noticed how much they have changed in the meantime. "
Stockhausen involves not only a change in the character and behavior. The singer who performed this song a hundred times, has changed shape of the skull. However, the question remains: what is the nature of these changes? Does it only affected bone or skull and the brain itself covered? If the resonance effects in the brain by creating a vocal garmonikdeystvi facilities and opportunities, therefore, there is a much safer way to stimulate the brain, than the only scientifically recognized to date method — surgery, when through a hole drilled in the skull to the brain electrodes inserted.
