End of Belarusian dairy exports to Russia?

European countries began to replace supplies to Belarus in the Russian dairy products, especially dry. This was announced on July 22 the executive director of Russian Dairy Union Vladimir Labinov.

"The main supplier of dry dairy products in Russia over the past years has been Belarus. In the structure of imports of dry milk products the share of European foreign countries is growing. Belarus because even with the growth in milk production today are not able to meet that consumption, which develops in Russia. "

In this Labinov noted that the Belarusian dairy products, particularly dried milk products, more expensive than the same products imported from the European Union and even New Zealand.

"Belarusians have an advantage — we have them duty-free bargain. But even with this Belarusian products to be cheaper," — said Labinov.

In turn Chairman of the National Union of Milk Producers ("Soyuzmoloko") Andrey Danilenko said that Belarus has a very high-quality dairy products. However, he noted that "as part of our desire to have a stable price policy in Belarus this summer intentionally limited the amount of dairy products in Russia."

According Danilenko, "Belarus is able to significantly increase the supply to the Russian market." He also added that Belarus will be the main and the largest supplier of dairy products to the Russian market.
