The government has discussed ways to increase domestic gas prices from July 1, and in the coming days, this decision may be taken, Interfax reports.
For a number of energy-intensive businesses will be maintained preferential gas prices.
According to experts, in Belarus on July 1, the inevitable increase in domestic gas prices due to the fact that in the third quarter of the price of gas imports rose to 193-194 dollars per thousand cubic meters from 169 in the first quarter and $ 185 in the second quarter this year.
As a result of the recent "gas war" with Russia Belarus underpaid for gas 187 million.
According to the addendum to the contract, which was signed on July 2, "Gazprom" and "Beltransgaz" expected to increase "Beltransgaz" domestic wholesale markup on gas. Retroactively from January 1, 2010, allowance will be 11.09 dollars per thousand cubic meters. Bet on the transit of Russian gas through the territory of Belarus from January 1, 2010 increased to $ 1.88 per thousand cubic meters.
Large Belarusian industrial gas consumers are concerned about the lack of new gas prices, since it is not possible to fully plan their activities.
From 1 January 2010 the average price of gas for consumers in Belarus is 217 dollars per thousand cubic meters.
