Germany will receive 445 RAM missile units
U.S. Navy announced the contract price of 343.55 million dollars to build 445 units of missile MK-44 Mod 4 complex near Defence RAM (Rolling Airframe Missile) Block 2.
RAM Guided Missile Weapon System is a joint development of the U.S. and Germany. The system is designed to protect the ships from anti-ship missiles.

According to the report, the contract would be financed by Germany and supervised by Marine Systems Command, U.S. Navy.

About half of the work will be performed in Tucson (, Arizona), also at the plant in Andover (Massachusetts) and Rocket Center (West Virginia). The rest of the work will be performed in Ottobrunn (Germany). Closing the contract is scheduled for January 2019.
