In Priuralsky region of the Yamal-Nenets autonomous district created state natural reserve of regional importance "Poluysky" On the eve reported in the press service of the governor of the region. Its area is 63 thousand 254 hectares
The new reserve is intended for preservation and restoration of rare and endangered species of plants and animals, maintenance of ecological balance, preservation of habitat and migration routes. Also in the "Poluyskom" will be carried out scientific research and environmental monitoring.
By order of the county government in the reserve prohibits all types of hunting, fishing, logging, mining, except for research and tests.
Indigenous Peoples of the North, which are traditional economy, the reserve is permitted reindeer herding, fishing, harvesting wild plants to meet their needs.
As noted in the decision, any legal activity in the reserve must be carried out in compliance with the requirements of environmental protection legislation.
