Now we do not clear the scale of the troubles in connection with the endogenous hydrogen degassing within Moscow. However, whether it is our will, we would be right now (even before the clarification of the situation in the bowels of the earth under the metropolis) have stalled the construction of multi-storey buildings. It's too big of an impact on the underlying horizons. However, the beginning of the phenomenon of "flood-basalts" planet will have to send a clear signal that it will be impossible not to notice (its nature still will not talk.) However, there is a pleasing aspect: it is very likely that the regional anomaly at a depth 1,5-2-2,5 km (in the crystalline basement of the platform) will meet in several powerful streams of hydrogen, from which you can select hydrogen wells. It holds great promise in terms of hydrogen production on an industrial scale. Now the whole world wants to transfer energy into hydrogen, but no one knows — where to get it. We also hope that the planet will wait to basalt, and to give us at least a couple of hundred years of peaceful existence, that we may enter in the books that "home" hydrogen (to the envy of its neighbors), and there is something out.
The Skeptic's question: "But how can you know that the industrial concentration will be?"
The answer — of course, we do not know, we just assume, but to this we have a strong case. First, the hydrogen — very active element, and if it reaches the surface, the deeper it should be greater, as it is in the path is consumed by the formation of water and other chemical reactions. The whole world is dreaming about hydrogen, but no one knows how to produce it (and that was cheap and clean), but here, that's you, please, hydrogen and Readily at hand, literally. But on the other hand, the hydrogen is most likely indicates the beginning of the formidable geological phenomena in the bowels of the planet (again, under our side). In general, you want — you do not want, and will have to deal with this phenomenon: First, of course, there are willing to debit this hydrogen for commercial advantage, and secondly — the power structures will be required to conduct studies to determine the possible negative effects of this phenomenon.
What has been said above, despite its "preliminary", shows the need for early formulation of a wide range of research projects. About that, what should be the research and on what areas — special conversation and we are ready for it (to be more precise — almost ready).
However, one trend in these studies, we would like to outline now. We are talking about the explosions of methane in coal mines, which have recently started to happen more and more often. In the methane (CH4) — one 4 carbon atom has a hydrogen atom, i.e. the number of atoms of natural gas — is primarily hydrogen. And if you go with a jet of hydrogen depth and fall in coal seams, then, of course, will produce methane: 2H2 + C = CH4. Thus, the hydrogen stream now can form foci of the accumulation of methane in coal basins, and methane in these centers can be located at a sufficiently high pressure. The situation is aggravated by the fact that some time ago, when (as it should), outstripping drilling was conducted to determine the risk "of explosion", these centers could not be, especially if drilling was conducted for a long time (10-15 years ago). In short, if it turns out that the sources of the accumulation of methane in coal basins are produced by jets of hydrogen, it becomes much easier to build an effective system of preventive measures that will minimize the risks and losses.
