New ICBM was successfully tested in Astrakhan

The main goals and objectives of the launch is to obtain experimental data to validate the correctness of the design adopted by the IDB scientific, technical and technological solutions, performance testing and defining the technical characteristics of its systems and assemblies, and test elements of the combat equipment of intercontinental ballistic missiles.

According to the press service, the training of a missile with a given accuracy to hit a conditional target range "Sary-Shagan" in Kazakhstan, the goals have been achieved starting.

The missile is created with the maximum use of existing and development of new backlogs and technological solutions obtained in the development of defense systems of the 5th generation, which significantly reduces the time and cost to create it.

"It is planned that the new ICBM will strengthen the combat capabilities of the Strategic Missile strike force in the strategic nuclear forces of Russia, including by improving the ability of the systems to overcome missile defense," — said in a statement.
