Started the construction of Russia’s largest biogas power plant

Corporation "BioGazEnergoStroy" (BgEs) began construction of a biogas plant in the village of Romodanovskaya (Mordovia). Today it is the largest project in the field of bioenergy in Russia: power station will be 4.4 MW.        

The raw material plant will use waste products of cattle and beet pulp, the press service of the corporation. The main suppliers of raw materials — SEC "Romodanovskaya", the nearby farms, as well as the sugar factory.

Most of the electricity generated (4 MW) plant will produce the network tariffs approved by the Regional Energy Commission. All that and more (400 kW) will be sent to the power supply nearby farms and for its own needs. The heat produced by the plant will go to heat greenhouses, located on nearby farms, as well as drying and granulation of organic fertilizers, which are a by-product of the biogas plant. Intend to build the plant by the end of 2014. In the meantime, completes registration of ownership of land (8.7 acres) held surveying the site, carried out geological surveys and design of the facility.

Cost of construction of the plant will be 5-7 thousand euros per kilowatt. The total amount of investments — 25-30 million euros, they will provide a 100% corporation "BioGazEnergoStroy" — as from their own resources, and with the involvement of Western funding. 

 BioGazEnergoStroy was the first (introduced in 2008), a company specializing in the construction of biogas units. The founder BgEs by a group of "GazEnergoStroy" (HPP), which is building a gas-fired power station. The company offers a stand-alone installation of CHP that reduce dependence on centralized energy suppliers. GazEnergoStroy known project of the construction of the first major power in the capital capacity of 600 MW of electricity and 750 Gcal / h — for heat, which is planned to enter service in 2014.

In the past year, the company Poyry Energy estimated portfolio of the most promising projects Biogazenergostroya (the construction of biogas systems for enterprises of agricultural sector in Russia and CIS) 58,5-75,6 billion rubles (depending on the parameters estimates).

This can be manure (as dense and liquid), industrial wastes of food industry, food and feed residues bard pomace, biodegradable waste from utilities and other organic waste. For the production of biogas can be used energy plant (which can be grown specifically for this purpose): maize, corn, sunflower, various herbs, beets, silo and others.

All of this falls into the bioreactor — a kind of tank mixers. It is insulated and heated during operation. Biogas is possible only when this unit has the structure of aerobic-anaerobic.

Biogas plants (a key element of a biogas plant) were quite favorable from both an economic and an environmental point of view. 

In Russia, customers biogas plants or consumers of their products are mainly agricultural enterprises. With the help of a biogas plant they can reduce the environmental area around livestock and poultry farms, and reduce the costs of disposal of hazardous waste. This is especially true for poultry farms: thousands of tons of manure containing hazardous substances for a long time make soil unsuitable for living and treatment. Technology of production of biogas for the further production of electricity and heat proved to be quite a long time, the analyst said, "Investkafe" Konstantin Marchenko. Of one cubic meter of biogas can be produced 2.4 kW / h of electricity.

 According to experts, the weakest point of this development have been severe restrictions on raw materials used. Thus, the bacteria — organisms involved directly in the production of biogas — can process only wet biosyre. Biomaterials with a moisture content less than 50% could not be used. "As a result of this limitation, most biogas plants were located on farms and used only agricultural waste as raw material," — said Marchenko.

The modern technology of "dry processing" (developed by the Swiss company Zorgbiogas) can significantly expand the list of raw materials used. "The emergence of new technology opens up new perspectives for the production of biogas — the analyst. — Now, can serve as fuel household waste, municipal solid waste, food waste restaurants and supermarkets. Previously, these groups demanded mandatory sorting of waste, making their use uneconomic. "

The alternative is

Among alternative energy sources are: wind (wind energy), solar (solar electromagnetic radiation), the energy of the Earth, or geothermal energy (heat of the planet), the energy of water or hydropower energy (the energy of the water in water resources), bioenergy (energy consumption which can resume.)

Scientists estimate that Russia may receive from wind power about 10% of the energy for the entire country. Wind turbines convert the kinetic energy of the wind into electricity. Today is quite possible to put such a setup in your home, thus providing your family an independent source of energy for many years.

Biofuel — biologically pure raw material which is obtained from the seeds of corn, canola or soybean, and stems of sugar cane. It can take several forms: liquid, solid and gaseous. For example, liquid include ethanol and a solid — coal or straw.

Solar radiation, as is known, is also a potent source of alternative energy. This resource does not produce hazardous waste and do not harm the environment. Water is considered to be a unique phenomenon, the source of life and existence, not only the person, but all the creatures and plants. For reference, the total annual amount of organic waste in Russia — about 624.5 million tons. Among them potentially available 31 billion cubic meters of biogas, which in turn can give energy GW 68 695 85 869 GW and heat. Compared with traditional sources of modest volumes — Gazprom, by the way, plans to produce in 2012, 528 billion cubic meters of gas in 2011 was produced 513 billion cubic meters. 

In Europe, the price of renewable biogas is EUR 200 per thousand cubic meters. In comparison, natural gas (non-renewable resources) is from 300 to 500 euros.
