Representatives of the "Siemens" also demonstrated the know-how in the field of design development of rolling stock using 3D technologies that can significantly streamline the process of creating new products and reduce the cost of its life cycle.
In the presence of the head of the Russian government of "Russian Railways and" Siemens AG "have signed an agreement to establish an engineering center to develop multiple units. According to the document, the partners intend to establish a long-term scientific and technological cooperation in the creation, production and testing of multiple units of rolling stock for the next generation with a width of 1520 mm and its components, sub-assemblies, components and parts. Scientific and technical cooperation in the framework of the agreement is the implementation and further development of the objectives of the Memorandum manufacturer, supplier OAO "Russian Railways" and the maintenance of modern Russian trains, signed May 27, 2010 and the Memorandum on the establishment of joint ventures for the production, delivery of JSC "Russian Railways" and maintenance of modern Russian trains, signed July 15, 2010.
It is assumed that the engineering center will be engaged primarily in the development, implementation and integration of design and technological solutions "Siemens" in Russian production.
