Medvedev has brought to the State Duma agreement on the transit of Italian guns in Afghanistan

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev he brought for ratification by the Municipal Duma of the Russian Federation agreement between Russia and Italy on air travel through the area of RF weapons, military equipment and ammunition, report online media.

As stated in the explanatory note to the bill, Our homeland in accordance with the resolutions of the UN Security Council will allow transportation of goods across its area in relation to the role of the armed forces of Italy in international efforts to stabilize and rebuild Afghanistan. In addition to this agreement, there is not ratified, but signed in 2010 Russian-Italian agreement on railway transit of weapons. Last November, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Russia and NATO agreed on the procedure for the facilitated transit to Afghanistan mine-protected armored vehicles.
