— Alex Gavriilovich will show whether your business is at the MAKS some new projects, and maybe even new cars?
— New helicopters — those that the general public has not yet been submitted. During the show, we show you some of these devices. First — it's light helicopter Mi-34C1 — deep modernization of the actually Mi-34C. — Defense gives the job to the development of new technology?
— Yes, we are working on R &D (research and development work), customers are the Ministry of Defence and other security agencies. The purpose of the research and development — improving technology, were in service, the creation of modifications of helicopters on the basis of already existing platforms that bring new qualities into operation.
— Current issue — improving safety. Due to what can be improved?
— Improved safety or operation of all the equipment — it's a whole range of activities. The first position in this set is the helicopter structure using new materials, new methods of calculation, new design solutions. New design solutions provide a safe landing at high loads. If tight fit, the design takes energy absorbing impact or a hard landing so that it either does not break down or face elements, that are easier to sacrifice. But there is no damage to any pilot or main units. Current international standards require that the structural failure does not result in injury to the crew and passengers.
Safety is also associated with improved technical specifications: weight loss, increased capacity. This inevitably involves the use of new technologies, new materials, new methods of calculation. The procedure for creating the aircraft is such that most of the time before the car takes off, it must be tested on the ground. This applies mainly to the load-bearing system, the major components and systems of the helicopter.
— As far as the test hard? They correspond to the probable extreme situations?
— Let me explain with an example. Let's say we're doing blade of the propeller as the main componen
t of the helicopter and ground tests show that it is almost impossible to destroy. For example, during combat damage sweep spar, that is the main supporting element rotor blade.
