Peru discovered a temple in which the Incas kept one of its main shrines

In Peru, archaeologists discovered the ruins of one of the largest temples built by Indians Inca tribe. According to scientists, in the 12th century, the Indians themselves razed to the ground structure, in order to avoid being destroyed by the Spanish conquistadors.

The obtained structure is significantly different from other sacred buildings of the Incas — it is not a square and round shape. According to legend, it was in this temple the Incas kept one of its main shrines — the golden statue of the ancient leader. She, however, has not been found.
