Large wildfires in Colorado stew with helicopters

One person died as a result of wildfires raging in the north of the U.S. state of Colorado. The fire spread to the territory of 60 square miles (15,500 hectares). Hundreds of local residents were forced to flee their homes. According to preliminary reports, the fire had already destroyed 118 buildings, one of which the rescuers found the body of 62-year old woman. Prior to that, she twice received notice that her home is in the danger zone.

In the fight against the fire involved about 600 firefighters and aerial equipment. To help them flew planes from Wyoming, Alaska and Canada. In order to prevent the spread of fire, helicopters dumped water on the house that could catch fire.
